Submitting Work
Due by November 30, 2026
Interested artists should send submissions to contact@12campbell.com for the initial review process. Include images of your work either through jpegs, a link to your website, or other social media platform. Along with the work, include a resume/CV, a short artist statement, and a list of works you are intersted in submitting (including title, date, dimensions, and medium).
Once initial applications are reviewed, selected in person portfolio reviews will be scheduled. For selected artists outside the area, the work may be delivered to the Gallery and a zoom meeting scheduled. Artists should plan to present 10-20 pieces of actual artwork (in a portfolio) to the review.
In particular, we are looking for a cohesive body of work related to an ongoing or developing practice, not random one off artworks. Selected artist’s works will be available in the flat files for a six month period.
Artists are welcome to submit submissions of loose works on paper (including but not limited to: photography, print media, drawings, paintings, mixed media, etc) or unstretched canvas. Consigned works are limited in size to 30 x 22 inches and under.
Works should not be framed.
If the artist would like to also bring images of additional works not being reviewed, do so on a separate thumb drive. Printouts of additional works at 8.5 x 11 inches are also useful. A word of caution: works incorporating charcoal or pastel are very fragile; please consider this before presenting works in these media for the Project.
Along with the work, include a resume, a short artist statement, list of works for review (including title, date, dimensions, and medium) and digital files of the works being reviewed. Image files should be in jpeg format and at least 72 dpi (dots per inch) for including on the 12 Campbell Gallery website.
Work accepted will be consigned to The Flat File Project and listed on our website for a six month period and be available to browse through each show and during normal gallery hours. Artists and works will be consigned semi-annually and may be rotated or returned to artists if not sold at the end of the consignment period. Each work must be in an archival clear plastic sleeve. At the end of the consignment period, the artist is asked to schedule a new review.
12 Campbell will retain a 30% commission of any works sold, after credit card fees.
Artists are responsible for delivering accepted works to and from 12 Campbell once their consignment period has ended. 12 Campbell will handle getting sold works to patrons and customers.
